Run by KEXP DJ and 'Pacific Notions' host Alex Ruder, Hush Hush Records is dedicated to curating an emotional and introspective sound that's free of specific genre boundaries.

The label was launched in 2012 as an extension of Alex's monthly 'Hush Hush' DJ night. During its short run, 'Hush Hush' placed a spotlight on the genre-agnostic idea of 'night bus' music. While the DJ night is no more, the label keeps the ethos of the DJ night alive with a focus on championing emerging new artists and pushing captivating contemplative sounds into the spotlight.
